Summary
The Cosgrave Lake Project is located less than 20km north of the town of Nipigon, and about 100km to the northeast of Thunder Bay that can be accessed via the Trans- Canada Highway and a network of well-maintained logging roads. The Project also has excellent nearby infrastructure including ports, powerline, local labor force and equipment, and communications.
The Cosgrave Project is located within a prolific lithium exploration camp with several well-known fertile plutons and more than 28 lithium occurrences recorded by Ontario Geological Survey including Rock Tech Lithium’s Georgia Lake Project with a prefeasibility study of USD 223m for pre-tax NPV (net present value) 8% and 47.8% pre-tax IRR (internal rate of return) using an average life-of-mine of USD 1,500/t SC6 (spodumene concentrate ~6%) 2.
In the 2024 field season, Beyond’s geologists followed up on the 2023 exploration success at the Cosgrave Project and located a highly fractionated pegmatite with an average K/RB ratio of 15 from channel samples; the channel samples returned with 0.23% Li 2 O and 235ppm Cs over 6.90m including 0.38% Li 2 O and 272ppm Cs over 3.10m and 0.62% Li2O and 227ppm Cs over 1.0m. Lately, the Cosgrave Project received Exploration Plan approval Ontario’s Ministry of Mines to carry out stripping program to further expose the lithium-bearing pegmatite uncovered in the 2024 program in its news release dated October 1, 2024.
