Victory Spodumene Project

Summary

The Victory Project is comprised of the Victory Main (7,874 ha) and the Victory West (8,808 ha) Projects totaling 16,682 hectares in an area located in the Medicine Lake area near the towns of Vermilion Bay, Dryden and the city of Kenora. The Victory Project currently includes two spodumene-bearing pegmatites, the Bounty Gold Pegmatite and the Last Resort Pegmatite. These two spodumene-bearing pegmatites are 40 to 50 m wide and over 200-300 m exposed along strike on surface. The Victory Project has:

  • Substantial width and size for the spodumene-bearing pegmatites.
  • Up to 5.11% Li2O at the Last Resort Pegmatite and up to 3.48% Li2O at the Bounty Gold Pegmatite from spodumene-bearing pegmatite grab samples.
  • District scale synergy with the Ear Falls Spodumene Project and the Mavis Lake Group Projects (Satellite, Laval, Gullwing-tot, Webb East, Webb West, Temple Bay, Ogani Lake, and McKenzie Bay) as they are within 100 km of each other and three regionally significant lithium deposits.
  • A 6-kilometer-long structural controlled exploration trend between the Bounty Gold and the Last Resort Pegmatites for exploration.

  • Access via Trans-Canada Highway and Highway 17 that connect to Kenora and Thunder Bay
  • 20-minute commute time from the nearest town of Vermilion Bay
  • Power line along Highway 17

Regional Context

In a district scale, Beyond Lithium has the Victory Project, the Ear Falls Project, and the Mavis Lake Group Projects (Satellite, Laval, Gullwing-tot, Webb East, Webb West, Temple Bay, Ogani Lake, and McKenzie Bay) located within 100 km of each other’s and also three regionally significant lithium deposits:

  • The Mavis Lake Lithium deposit owned by Critical Resources Ltd. (ASX: CRR) with 8 Mt at 1.07% Li2O
  • The Separation Rapids Lithium deposit owned by Avalon Advanced Materials (TSX: AVL) with a PEA of the pre-tax NPV (8% discount rate) calculated at C$156 million and the IRR at 27.1%
  • The Root and McComb Lithium deposit owned by Green Technologies Metals (ASX: GT1) with 12.6 Mt at 1.21% Li2O

Background Geology

The Victory Project is situated along the subprovince boundary of the Winnipeg River and Wabigoon subprovinces in the Medicine Lake area. This area was originally discovered in 1949 by E. Sobiski as a beryl-beryllium prospect followed by the delineation of the Medicine Lake Pluton by Pryslak in 1976. The Medicine Lake Pluton is about 0.5 by 1.5 km in size as a fertile pluton based on the highly fractionated potassium feldspar samples analysed by Breaks and Tindle in 1997. The main host rocks in the two projects defined by Ontario Geological Survey mapping are metasediments and metavolcanics with granitic intrusions in the surrounding.

Spodumene Pegmatites Discovery – Bounty Gold Pegmatite and Last Resort Pegmatite

The two newly discovered pegmatites, the Bounty Gold Pegmatite and the Last Resort Pegmatite, are mainly composed of spodumene, quartz, feldspar, spotty tourmaline, and beryl with local spodumene mineralization up to 50%. The two pegmatites were discovered along a 6 km long contact structure between the contact of metasediments and the metavolcanics. This contact structure also runs subparallel to the regional trend of the subprovince boundary between the Winnipeg River and the Wabigoon subprovinces that extends for over 50 km in distance where this regional subprovince boundary acts as the ideal permeable structure for the formation of pegmatite dykes.

These two pegmatites range from 40 to 50 meters in width and have been traced along strike for over 200 to 300 meters on surface. Drone images of the two spodumene pegmatites discoveries located in the eastern and the western extents outlined the prospective contact structure at the Victory Project which are also outlined by the topographic high and linear features that extend for over 200 to 300 meters on surface.

Exploration

The ongoing exploration work at the Victory Project will include:

  • Detailed mapping and sampling the two brand-new spodumene-bearing pegmatites.
  • To map out the zonation of the spodumene-bearing pegmatites
  • To follow and to extend the spodumene-bearing pegmatites along strike.
  • The systematic exploration along the 6 km long structural zone that runs subparallel to the regional subprovince boundary to potentially uncover new spodumene zone.
  • The inspection of over 100 mapped pegmatites and beryl and tantalum mineral occurrences identified by Ontario Geological Survey.
  • Prospect the regional trend and prospective corridor across both the Victory Main and the Victory West Projects.
  • To submit the exploration permit for a drilling program
